Apologies, it’s been 3 weeks since our last update. This comic series is a combined effort between myself and my wife, Laura. Laura was really busy in the last 3-4 weeks with university assignments and we couldn’t have the comics completed during that time. Having recently completed one (and she got a 90!!), we have managed to get a few pages done. Expect the comic to be updated as regular in the coming weeks.
First, apologies. The last couple weeks have been very tough. Laura had (and still does) important assignments and we didn’t have the time to complete any comics (both Being Bears and Bears of Lore).
But we have some time now and managed to get this one completed. Its a sort of continuation of the previous comic and based on a real, hilarious discussion.

Big Bear’s comment about Biologists and maths is a comment I actually made, and it is somewhat influenced by the Physicist Lawrence Krauss. In 2012/2013 Prof. Krauss gave a lecture at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. At the time I was pursuing a PhD in Radio Astronomy. In his lecture, he put up an equation (I can’t recall the equation) and he said, in jest (and I am paraphrasing): “To the Biologists in the room, this is an equation. The term on the left equates the expression on the right!” So when Laura was trying to figure out the maths in her Advanced Systems Biology class, I made that comment (after I asked about conditions and she got exasperated).
Bears have landed in a strange place and Queggle is ready to fight for her loot. Who’s the mysterious stranger (Myor?) and what does he mean by quarantine?
Bears of Lore is continuing this week. Bears have been pulled into Queggle’s bag of holding, by a strange entity. Who is it and what will happen to our cuddly heroes?
Apologies for not uploading anything for the last 3 weeks. We took an unexpected early spring break and things just got busy. But we are back and will keep posting pages until the end of the second chapter.
Based on a partially true story. Laura is doing a biology degree part-time and one of the classes is (as I understand) has some maths and coding. I was sleeping (I had the day off) when she texted me about needing my brain to understand the maths. Although, I probably would be spinning on my chair If I was working.
After solving the issue of storage for her loot, Queggle and Natty are off doing their usual thing. But it seems something is wrong with her magic loot bag?
Last week, we had a montage of our little mage, Queggle working on her solution to the looting problem. This week we see her solution! She’s definitely, a genius.
Also, this week features chibi Queggle and she’s that most adorable thing ever!!!!
I work from home and once or twice a week, I would work in the office when Laura has classes at the university (which is in the city my office is based). After covid, my company moved to a flexible working scheme and I don’t have a dedicated desk, instead I have to book a desk that has a screen, keyboard and a mouse. One time I forgot my personal wireless mouse at home and had to use the one on the desk. I actually cleaned it with hand sanitiser! *shudder*
After her disastrous attempt at hiring help for her looting (so difficult to get decent help these days!), Queggle has decided to take matters into her own hands and she’s going to come up with a solution, using magic!!!! What is our adorable, crazy, little mage up to? Join us next week to learn!
